How Do I Change Album Art in Windows Media Player
How-do-you-do - album fine art issues are less common in W10 with the simplified library system... using FAI should not crusade as well many issues either (whereas 'Update album info might!) - Somewhere forth the mode some wires have got crossed by the sound of it.
Can yous just give me a quick rundown on your library structure in 'explorer'- is information technology the usual Music - Creative person - Anthology - Track line? - Also is the wrong art actualization in both Media actor and the explorer files? - Thanks, R.

ane) Yeah and No, usual structure, ie: D:\Music\..Artist...\... Album... is correct, but in the case of the B-52's, the album is Non at that place. Strangely I own the CD and did rip it to this figurer!?!
two) Yes, in the case of the B-52's, the album cover is Non correct anymore, it has been "squished" when I tried to update another album, which was updated correctly.
SO...
i) I added the missing "Album" file construction level to the B52's.
2) I modified the "Album" field in the Properties of each vocal.
three) I fetched the Anthology information from "FAI".
This stock-still the album fine, just changed other albums that have a valid file structure and had the correct album in the "Anthology" field of the track. I looked at the timestamp on the image files that accept been wrongly updated and they match the B52'south updated timestamp. So obviously there is a propagation going on that should not! As well, the timestamp (modified, created) DO Not appear when in "Detail View" of file explorer - I must context-click the JPG and look at properties to run into a date! Probably because it is a "foreign" user that has copied the files around...
The albums that had a valid Anthology art, that have been inverse, DO NOT exist on "FAI" or the vocal names come up in Spanish.... I am currently on vacation in Republic of costa rica from Canada!
Still, this does not explain why an album cover is propagated to other folders...

In that location'south a number of possibilities. It may exist all-time to expect until you are home to sort this out. We can work through methodically.
Ane affair you lot may want to check is to go to 'view' in explorer - select options - view tab... Dot the circumvolve for showing hidden files and uncheck 4 boxes downwards 'hide system files' - this pops up a warning which can be OK'd. Click utilize - OK at foot of box... When you have finished go dorsum to the view tab (make certain information technology is the view tab!) and click 'Restore Defaults'. (OK)
With hidden /organisation files showing get through the explorer music folders and see if there are copies of the incorrect artwork in those affected. If and so information technology tin be safely deleted if you lot wish... we'll sort everything else out when yous're habitation.

I have Win ten pro and I am displaying all file types etc - Cheers.
In the "Privacy" tab of the "Options" - I unchecked the "Automatically check if protected files demand to be refreshed"....
Meanwhile - as long as the songs are in that location - even if harder to detect because of the false visual cue - I will wait for a fix... ;-)

There are many different means of sorting in WMP (which is a rather well-kept hush-hush!) simply for your needs just switching to
'Details' view (in the trivial dropdown by the search bar) might be the simplest option until things are put correct. That can exist applied in 'Artist - Album and All Music' views and for now an alphabetical listing may be somewhat easier to work
from than misleading album art!

Still, my location should not influence the propagation of wrong anthology art to albums I am not trying to update! Looks similar MPlayer is trying to fix things that are not broken!

Thanks for your concerns but I am here for another 2 months, then off for three months in Ecuador then I am off to Europe for most of the summer. So while here in Costa Rica, I have plenty of time for this is not vacation but my retirement!
So how about we start the process now!?!

Ah OK - a friend of mine is doing a similar routine - lives in Crete, hops off to Spain and Italia betwixt trips to Guatemala where he is involved with an educational charity - he even manages to come dorsum to the United kingdom of great britain and northern ireland every so oft!
OK - beginning thing I'd like is to bank check your WMP organize - options settings to minimize potential unwanted interference... main ones are Library and Privacy tabs simply I keep the settings in the player tab pretty minimal too (just checked for updates weekly and autohide controls)
Please gear up the library/privacy tabs similar to this (especially unchecking annihilation marked red!)
